Definitions for Types of Purge Systems

Type Z – Purge System, Takes an enclosure internal volume from a Division 2 / Zone 2 hazardous area to a non-hazardous area.
Type Y – Purge System, Takes an enclosure internal volume form a Division 1 / Zone 1 hazardous area to a Division 2 / Zone 2 hazardous area.
Type X – Purge System, Takes an enclosure internal volume from a Division 1 / Zone 1 hazardous area to a non-hazardous area.
